Frenetic Movement
Frenetic Movement was initially inspired by the murmurations of the starlings behind my house. The movement fascinated me and I wanted to find a way to explore the hypnotic quality of the lines. Time-lapse photographers Xavi Bou and Pete Mauney's work was vital in developing my own experiments with light and ink. The lines I created through these resulted in the patterns utilised within the knitted samples. The majority of the yarn used was British wool; because of the weight, structure and properties that made it perfect for felting and maintaining form.
